The service

The Internet Square is an online city where people can create a public citizen profile, take part in city features, view community and advertising rankings, and—where available—buy a citizen residency or submit a paid billboard campaign.

A city profile, rank, points total, online status, public billboard placement, or future reward is not a promise of traffic, revenue, employment, reach, a particular ranking, or any other result. We may improve, pause, remove, or change features where reasonably necessary.

Accounts & citizens

You are responsible for your account, password, and information published through your citizen. Keep your city name, avatar, messages, and activity lawful and respectful. You must not impersonate another person, company, or brand.

Citizen profiles, points, levels, rankings, and city access are personal to the account. Unless a feature expressly says otherwise, they are not transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and have no guaranteed monetary value.

The initial launch is for people aged 18 or older. You must confirm that you are at least 18 when registering or continuing with an existing account. This declaration is not identity verification. If you act for a company or organisation, you confirm that you are allowed to act for it.

VIP memberships & billboard display offers

Prices and payment availability are shown before checkout. Payment processing is provided by Stripe; The Internet Square does not receive or store full payment-card details. A sandbox checkout is a test and does not collect real money.

New VIP plans cost US$5 monthly; US$25 for the first six months then US$4.17 monthly; or US$45 for the first twelve months then US$3.75 monthly. Following any initial term, membership continues monthly until cancelled; it does not renew for another six- or twelve-month block. Cancel before the next charge through VIP billing or the public cancellation form. Already-paid access continues through its end date. Existing purchased contracts and lifetime access keep their original terms; new lifetime purchases are not offered.

New billboard adverts are paid before administrator review. Unpaid drafts do not enter the review queue. Paid adverts stay private until approved. Rejected adverts or adverts that cannot be published receive a full refund to the original payment method. Earlier offers retain the review/payment order shown at their checkout. An approved, paid higher offer can immediately replace the current advert. A one-time payment covers up to 24 hours from publication, without automatic renewal. If display ends earlier, unused time is refunded proportionally to the original payment method; if publication cannot begin, the full payment is refunded. Bank processing may take additional time. No minimum display time, clicks, sales or ranking are guaranteed. See your advertising for terms, consent and settlement status.

We may reject or remove unlawful, misleading, unsafe, infringing or otherwise prohibited adverts. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Withdrawal, refunds and requests

Statutory consumer withdrawal, refund and warranty rights are not excluded. Read the service-contract withdrawal notice and optional model form. Requesting immediate service does not by itself waive the withdrawal right; a proportionate charge for services supplied may apply only where the statutory conditions are met.

You can send a withdrawal declaration without signing in, or use account requests to submit other refund requests. Include the order reference, never full card details. Receipt records your declaration; it is not a promise that a refund has already been completed. We will identify the contract and communicate the outcome. You may also email or write to the provider.

Community and advertising rules

Do not use the city, messages, profile, campaign, or destination link for anything unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent, malicious, or infringing. Do not upload malware, phishing destinations, unauthorised copyrighted material, or content that violates another person’s privacy or rights.

For every submitted ad, you confirm that you own it or have permission to use the creative, name, destination, and other material. You must keep the linked destination accurate and safe.

Your content and public identity

You keep ownership of content you create. By publishing a city name, avatar choices, messages, or campaign materials, you give us the limited permission needed to host, adapt for technical display, moderate, and show that content within The Internet Square while it is available through the service.

Your city name, selected citizen appearance, public points rank, and approved ads may be visible to other visitors. Avoid putting private or sensitive information into public fields or messages.

Availability, changes & contact

The service may sometimes be unavailable, delayed, or contain errors. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. We may update these terms when features, law, safety needs, or the way the service operates change.

You can send support, cancellation, withdrawal and privacy declarations without signing in.

Send a cancellation or withdrawal declaration

You can use our public form without an account login: Cancel a contract or Withdraw from a contract. You can save a timestamped receipt and receive it by email. We will match the declaration to your contract and send the processing outcome, including its end date where applicable. No additional confirmation link is required to receive your declaration. You can also email or write to the provider using the contact details above. Submitting a declaration does not delete your account.
